City Off-Street Parking Review Open House

The City of Victoria is holding an open house to present their Draft Off-Street Parking Regulations.

When: Monday, November 20, 2017, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Where:
Antechamber, City Hall, 1 Centennial Square

The off-street parking regulations apply to private property only and do not include public on-street parking, City parkades or parking lots.

If you can’t make the open house you can read the regulations at victoria.ca/zoningparking and email your feedback to engage@victoria.ca

Currently the City requires one off street parking spot for a single family dwelling and two for a duplex.  If the house has a secondary suite or a garden suite then no additional off street parking is required.  The proposed changes to off street parking do not make any changes to these particular requirements.  Obviously many existing homes in Fernwood rely solely on street parking while infill houses or new construction meet the current off street parking requirements.  With the number of existing and new legal secondary suites and garden suites in Fernwood you may think that more off street parking should be required. This is your opportunity to voice that opinion.

As we are all volunteers it sometimes takes a few days to answer emails
