This will be the Preliminary Community Meeting concerning 1619/1621 Camosun Street.

The owner of this property has a secondary suite that she wants to legalize. She also wants to be able to get a Bed and Breakfast licence for a room in her home.

Although the property is currently zoned R1-B; Single Family Dwelling Distinct, the existing house on the property is a legal non-conforming duplex.

At this public meeting the owner will discuss the zoning changes they would like to make to the property.

At the City of Victoria’s Council meeting of August 10, 2017 the Rezoning Application for 1144, 1148, 1152, and 1154 Johnson Street and 1406 Chambers Street was approved.  This allows for a 47 unit six storey building.
