Meeting to Explain / Discuss Local Area Planning Process for 2017

As you may be aware, the City of Victoria will be updating the Local Area Plan for both Fernwood and North Park in 2017. Establishing an effective process around this exercise will be critical to securing sufficient resident input to achieve a plan that will reflect the wishes of the communities affected.

The Fernwood Community Association and the North Park Neighbourhood Association (NPNA) have arranged a presentation and discussion about the process of updating the Local Area Plan, with guest speaker Brian Green, Senior Planner Sustainable Planning and Community Development, City of Victoria. Note that this will be preceding the NPNA Annual General Meeting which will immediately follow the Local Area Plan portion of the meeting.

The meeting is on Wednesday, October 5, at 7 pm, in Room 200 at First Met Church. Enter the church by the double doors at 932 Balmoral Road; you will see the stairs on your left. Room 200 is on the right at the top of the stairs. There is an elevator available if accessibility is an issue.
